Colectivo Zapatista Tzajalek 32

Colectivo Zapatista Tzajalek 32 emerges from the recognition that issues affecting our community are relevant to the calls made by the Otra Campaña. As students and scholars, our aim is to apply the philosophy of Zapatismo and La Otra Campaña at San Diego State University and the transborder region of San Diego and Tijuana. Join us at SDSU to learn and discuss indigenous rights and social movements in Latin America while supporting Zapatista Indigenous communities in Chiapas, Mexico.

The Fire and the Word Event in San Diego

Campaign EZLN: The Fire and the Word took place February 11, 2008 at San Diego State University. The Colectivo Zapatista Tzajalek 32 presented the event. This event was the first of the tour though the United States by Gloria Muñoz Ramírez. Approximately 70 people attended the event, which was composed of a photography exhibition and a presentation of the book The Fire and the Word by Gloria Muñoz Ramírez.
